Catching up with life..just as fast as I can!!!!

So, my last post was April 9....Think I took a long enough break?!? So much happens in life every day, its hard to keep up, the older I get the faster things seem to happen!!!
Sunset over Seattle while in the air.. It was amazing!
the Space Needle from the ground....
My Awesome Mr. Man turned the BIG 40 and we did it in style in Seattle, Washington, it was our most amazing honeymoon yet! A whirlwind trip in 5 short days ~
2 of them traveling friendly skies!!! I just had to pose with the plane....I can pretend its my own private jet right??!?! :)
Visiting with family, what a beautiful view from their back yard! and the Spaghetti Lunch was delicious!
Going to the Tulip fields,

Walking out to Deception Pass,

Staying the night on Lummi Island,

In a rustic cabin with the most awesome view....

Dinner in the Space Needle restaurant with a view!!! and so much more!It was our first trip together as adults, the first of what we hope will be many more!!! We went to Disney World in 1986 with his family, yes, I was just sweet 16, now here we are 22 years later and our love is stronger than ever!!!! Its great to have a special someone to look forward to enjoying life with... from the celebrations & trips to the joy & tears that come along with life accompanied by the snuggles at night and everything in between...♥
I feel our love for each other shines from each of us... love changed us both ~ for better of course! Its nice to be a part of an inspiring love story, one that is very real and I feel is forever!

We have enjoyed countless hours watching beautiful sunsets and breathtaking sunrises together!!

The Easter Sunrise Service at the beach was most memorable and we shared it with Savanna & Natalee too! ~ they are BFF's and both now upcoming 6th graders.. in respective different middle schools this fall... I cannot say that I am sad they won't be at school together next year, I could not control the influences on my daughter last year and I am hoping for different options for her so she can hopefully make better choices; it's scary to send them to middle school :( The 5th grade dance was the first one she attended that, when I pulled up to the school, she squealed with delight when she saw the boy she had a crush on...she is more interested in girly things and has grown so much in just ONE school year!
This was last Mothers day ....

and this is Mothers Day weekend 2009 She is the ultimate rocker chic and usually goes by the name Sophie H. ~ and where did my baby girl go?????????

Garrett is finished with High School, without all the hoopla attached to it, he will get his diploma in the mail. He is much more inclined to get on with life in college, playing in his band and cooking with his girlfriend Sam...
Jammin' at a gig This was the two of them on Cinco De' Mayo this year..

We ( Frankie & I) are signed up as distributors for Mona Vie.. I have a link attached to my website here on this blog page.. It is something that I felt the physical results from in just 1 week of drinking it and Frankie noticed improved health too, we both can feel it and cannot help but want to share it with everyone we can! Why not drink to our health every day? Its the least we can do and it makes our body feel good too!!
I am happy to share it with anyone that is interested!
So, that's an update from my CRAZI crazi world.. 'till next time dahlings.....Carpe Diem!

more life lessons....the journey continues

Life is not something for us to understand... more like a never ending adventure with twists and turns sometimes going soo very fast we get whiplash trying to get a glimpse with that 20/20 vision that we so often get in hindsight....Why cant we use that 20/20 vision with foresight?? I guess its one of the many ways we learn life lessons!
I am so very blessed and grateful for my life today and every day! My children enrich my life and my friends are amazing ~ how did I get so lucky?!?
I am soo very proud to watch them grow into young adults I can be proud of! Savanna is 11 tomorrow and I wonder where the time went? it seems like yesterday that I was nursing her and watching her sleep in my arms... not so much of that anymore.. We are struggling a bit with this puberty thing and the attitude that comes with it!!@#@ !!!
I know that simply because I want to be a good mother, I will be successful at it... not sure how much, but I know that as long as I make every effort, I will have done my best :)
Its just like everything else in life, you can choose to succeed at whatever you are trying to accomplish or you can do it half assed, however you choose to accomplish things... your expectations of the end result should mirror your efforts...it never ceases to amaze me when I see people do a shitty job at just about everything they do because they don't have a sense of self pride or self respect. Where the hell were their parents?!?!?!

I didn't intend to rant today...I am sure we all come across people in our daily lives that we know we will have to take up the slack because they show up with a slack attitude!! its just another life lesson we have to learn... just like the art of 'eating shit and smiling" as we have to do some of that too don't we??? I did waayyy too much of that as a bartender!!

I am happy to learn ~ the more we learn the more we grow ~ I NEVER want to stop learning!!

Christmas cheer and cutting the apron strings...

My G-Man and Munchkin have grown up so much since last year!!
I cherish these moments, they go by so fast! This is the 3 of us last year at the beach right after Thanksgiving...

Love these Christmas images...
I am almost finished with the presents this year... I have 2 wonderful children that I get to spend Christmas with ~ I don't think the 3 of us have had one together in quite a few years, so long ago I cannot remember :(

Santa will follow us to Carolina, it will be one to remember! We will be with family and friends for the Holidays ~ usually we make it for Thanksgiving but not Christmas so its a real treat for everyone.
Today is the Christmas Luncheon with Savanna for her last day of school this year ~ it's an Italian menu so I made Tiramisu last night, it was the easy recipe with vanilla wafers and cream cheese but will taste good none the less :) She is in the local 5th grade Spelling Bee! I am soo very proud of her!! She is definately gotten a better sense of herself and I see a confidence in her that she didn't have last year so its an improvement.. My little munchkin is growing up into a wanna be teenager!! yikes!! SLOW DOWN I tell her!! at least she has started accepting being a girl...she will finally wear the bras I bought her, we just had to find one that wasn't itchy.. I remember those days very well except I HAD to wear a bra in the 3rd grade, now that was torture! She will enjoy the toys under the tree this year but is on the verge of wanting everything electronic ~ We redecorated her room this month, her colors are black and aquamarine ~ No PINK was her request..I will post photos after this weekend when we get her new bed...all these changes and I know I am getting older in years but still feel as young as I did when Garrett was born, just with a few more wrinkles!
Garrett has taken the month of December off for school this year, he is making himself useful around the house and writing music most of the time... Its hard to imagine that this might be the last Christmas he is under my roof at 'our' home together, makes me sad but it is a process in life ~ Growing up is never easy and I think sometimes its harder on the parents because you want to do so much for them but they will never learn if you do it that way! We have been collecting household items for him this year so he will be a little prepared when he does get a place of his own. He will not leave my house unprepared if I can help it! He was hard to buy presents for this year because all he wanted was money for another tattoo... I found a few items to give him as well as stocking stuffers, its so different from years past when he wrote letters to santa with a list of what he wanted. Its been a year of milestones for Garrett & I both, He waited to do alot of things this year and I was not pushing him to be an adult ~ I wanted him to enjoy his teenage years, have something to reflect and look back on with warm fuzzy memories, I dont have much of those at all because I chose to be an adult on my own at age 17!
Life goes on each and every day and I am learning to be happy in the moment ~ We never know when its our last...Just like childhood, time is fleeting....
