Beauty is only skin deep?? who said that?

Weird subject for a blog but I was thinking about the price we pay as women and men to take good care of our skin....not just in dollars and cents, but in time as well... I admit, I am 38 years young and I resolved this year to take better care of my skin. I have used Oil of Olay since I was 21 on my face and that had been the extent of my beauty regime....not even washing my face every night because I don't wear foundation or allot of makeup so I just didn't take the time to do it but I feel I NEED to now...have I been slack? I feel that I have but then again; I was blessed with good genetics and my skin had not been a high maintenance part of my beauty 'routine'. So I went ahead and spent the money on a new anti wrinkle product and bought the firming serum as well as the eye cream, it takes me longer to get ready for bed at night and in the morning but at least I am doing more than I was...I am more conscious of what I put in my body in regards to food and as I got stricter about what I nourish my body with, I lost weight without even exercising! Its not been easy to keep it off but I cannot exercise like I used to... at least not yet, so the lifestyle choice I made was a good one for me :)

New Years resolutions are good for the body, soul and spirit as long as you make it for the right reasons, not just to 'make the list'...but actually DO something on that list! I not only want to look beautiful on the outside but be beautiful on the inside too, I am still a work in progress

"he is still working on me to make me what I ought to be" a verse from a song I used to sing as a kid but it still runs thru my mind as I realize that progress ~ even little baby steps ~ are a reward to myself and those around me :)

I am so glad that you are healing and feeling better about life. I know you have been through some really tuff times. I am experiencing some of those now. I thank God that Frankie came back into your life and that you are truly happy and ready to live life. Thanks for always being there.

Hey Lady! Good post. I have been using the nutragena line for about 2 years now. I really like it. My favorate is the oil free tented daily moistureizer. It evens out my skin tone, is a mostiureizer and SPF 30 for my fair skin. If you haven't found anything like it yet, I recommend it. I miss you and cant wait to see your beautiful skin in person!
